Yearly Holiday Calendars

Our yearly holiday calendars for Canadians are some of our most popular sites on the Internet and certainly the ones we get the most feedback from. We try hard to make our calendars appeal to the greatest amount of users and applications. Some calendar users have been utilizing our calendars in one way or another since our very first year offering these web sites.

2007 CalendarOur first online calendar was for the year 2007. We were amazed at the instant feedback users gave and we worked hard to make a fast loading website with attractive usable calendars.

This original calendar presented all Canadian holidays both provincial and federal. Religious ceremonies were also covered in depth for the year. The calendars themselves contained Canadian-themed and month-related images as well. With quality photo paper printing these images made for a nice wall-calendar.

2008Our next yearly holiday calendar for Canadians came with our 2008 version.

We kept much of the same layout and design as the 2007 version, but we included more dates for each month – especially those for our American cousins to the South. The style of the actual monthly calendars also changed as we stopped using photos with each monthly calendar to allow each user to use their own chosen image. High resolution images were still offered for those looking for printable images.

2009With the success of the 2008 calendar, WhiteBark Innovations set out to have the 2009 holiday calendar for Canadians online much earlier. Users were asking to have it online to help them plan ahead with their personal and business lives. We maintained the same successful layout but we slightly changed the colour theme of the site.

Throughout the year we consistently heard from the web site users how much they enjoyed the free resource we were making available. Others were asking where to send donations (No need please! We like making available free stuff!) and if we could bundle the originals with their images.

2010We decided to try something a little more in depth for the 2010 holiday calendar by using a more robust web site platform and by including even more information on the main holidays and events found in 2010. The website also contains a countdown to the 2010 Vancouver-Whistler Winter Olympic Games. It’s a big time for Canada and you can countdown to the event with us!

The 2010 calendar also sees the return of high resolution images with each calendar year. With so many users applying our monthly calendars as their computer desktop image for quick use, we went for a more visually appealing layout. We will be offering the source files for a small fee to those looking to make their own original calendars. The editing is easy for anyone with Adobe Photoshop or a free equivalent like GIMP.

2011Also we offer a complete monthly calendar already online for 2011. Using the same software as the 2010 version, the 2011 holiday calendar offers the largest printable high resolution 300 dpi images we have yet offered. You can easily make attractive wall calendars with these images. We are very proud of this calendar and the depth of information made available. Never have we offered as many holidays and events for both Canadians and Americans than with this edition.

And speaking of images, the 2011 calendar features images from Canada and the United from WhiteBark’s own private collection. Taken by staff members of WhiteBark Innovations, these fun and attractive photos will nicely complement your computer’s desktop, wall calendar, or any other final end use you can think for them.
